About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a development team focused on creating customized heavy vehicle solutions based on specific customer requirements. In this role, you will work with a modular product platform to develop high-quality solutions while balancing technical requirements, lead times, and customer expectations.

You will:

• Develop customized vehicle solutions based on customer needs.

• Work with both existing adaptations and new technical concepts.

• Deliver solutions according to established product development processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deliveries.

• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the engineering team, you will be involved throughout the development process, from technical investigations to implementation of customer-specific solutions. The role requires close collaboration with engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing customized vehicle configurations.

• Creating engineering solutions using a modular product architecture.

• Investigating and evaluating new customer requirements.

• Supporting the development and implementation of new product adaptations.

• Ensuring compliance with development processes, technical standards, and quality requirements.

• Working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and technically driven engineer who enjoys solving complex challenges and working in a fast-paced development environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience.

• Previous experience within automotive or commercial vehicle R&D.

• Experience working in Catia.

• Experience working in OAS or a similar product data management system.

• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within customized product development and modular product platforms is highly valued. Previous exposure to customer-specific engineering solutions is considered an advantage.

Meritorious experience includes:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

• Experience from S-order or customer-order-driven development.

• Knowledge of heavy vehicle products and systems.

• Experience working with modular product architectures.

• Experience with product structure management and engineering conditions.

• Swedish language skills.
